Delicately luxurious, silk is a beautifully soft fabric with a natural sheen and smooth texture that requires gentle care.
CARE
- We recommend hand washing silk in cool water. If you choose to machine wash, use a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent, and place the item in a wash bag to protect the silk.
- Avoid putting silk in the dryer as it can damage the fibres and cause pulls and shrinkage. Instead, roll the silk in a towel to absorb extra moisture then lay it flat in the shade to dry.
- Steaming is gentler than ironing, but if you do iron silk use a low heat setting and a cotton towel between the iron and the silk. Always iron on the inside of the garment.
- Given the delicate nature of the fabric, dry cleaning is the best option to enhance the longevity of your silk pieces.
As part of our commitment to creating quality pieces with longevity, these care practices will help you enjoy your silk pieces now and into the future.
